Gujarat adds 1,020 new coronavirus cases

Gujarat on Sunday reported 1,020 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total count of infections to 1,80,699, the state health department said.

A total of 819 patients were discharged in the day, which raised the number of recoveries to 1,64,596, the department said,adding that the case recovery rate in the state now stands at 91.09



per cent.

51,191 tests were conducted across the state in the day at the rate of 787.55 tests per day per million population.

Gujarat's COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 1,80,699, new cases 1,020, deaths 3,763, discharged 1,64,596, active cases 12,340 and people tested so far 64,68,154.
