Gujarat adds 1,311 new COVID-19 cases

Gujarat reported 1,311 new coronavirus positive cases on Wednesday, taking its count of infections to 1,46,673, state health department said.

With nine patients succumbing to the infection, including four in Ahmedabad, the overall death toll went up to 3,531, it



said.

Recoveries outnumbered new cases in the day, with 1,414 people getting discharged, raising the number of recovered people to 1,26,657, the department said in a release.

The state''s recovery rate has now reached 86.35 per cent, while the number of active cases stands at 16,485, it said.
