Gujarat government has reduced the charges of RT-PCR test for Covid-19 in private laboratories. RT-PCR test will now cost Rs. 1,500 in private laboratories instead of the existing Rs. 2,500.
 
Charges will be Rs. 2,000 if the sample is collected from home. The new reduced charges comes into effective today.
 
Gujarat has reported record 1,364 new cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours. The total cases in the state have gone up to 1,17, 709.
 
With recovery of 1,447 patients on Wednesday, the recovery rate has further improved and reached upto 83.39 per cent.
 
Total 98156 patients have



recovered in the state till now.
 
More than 35.23 lakh tests have been carried out in the state till date, out of which 85153 tests were carried out on Wednesday.
 
Maximum 282 new cases reported from Surat.
 
At present 16.294 active cases in the state, out of which 98 patients are on ventilator. 
 
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has added 7 new areas in the micro containment zone following detection of new cases.
 
AMC has also sealed more than one thousand tea stalls in the city after breach of Covid related provisions.
