Gujarat has now 128 COVID19 cases, with 6 new confirmed cases reported since Sunday morning. Out of these, 21 have been cured and discharged, while 94 are in stable conditions. 2 patients are on ventilator support. Ahmedabad has highest 53 cases so far. Among the new cases detected in Gujarat since yesterday include a 14 month old boy from Jamnagar and 90 year old male in Bhavnagar.
A 14 month old boy was kept on ventilator support in MP Shah Medical College in Jamnagar. The child is a son of a migrant laborer couple native of
Uttar Pradesh and presently working in Jamnagar. The couple is working as casual laborer in factories in GIDC in Dared village outskirts of Jamanagr city.
Jamnagar collector said that the child was first admitted to GG Hospital in Jamnagar city on Saturday. His samples returned positive on Sunday. Source of his infection is yet to be ascertained. The victim’s family doesn’t have known travel history. Other new cases detected are from Surat, Morbi, Bhuj and Bhavnagar.
