Gujarat records 1074 new Covid-19 cases

In Gujarat, 1074 new cases of COVID-19 recorded yesterday. According to the State Health Department, the recovery rate improved further and reached up to 75.04 per cent. According to official sources, out of 1074 new cases recorded yesterday, the maximum 183 new cases reported from Surat. Ahmedabad city recorded 142 new cases during the last 24 hours.

 

Total cases of COVID-19 in the state have gone up to 68,885. Out of 14,587 active cases in the state, the conditions of 86 patients are serious. At the other end, 1370 patients have been discharged from various hospitals after recovery. With this, the



total patients recovered from COVID-19 till date have gone up to 51692. 22 patients have lost their lives yesterday, taking the total death due to COVID-19 in the state up to 2606.

 

More than 9 lakh 30 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date, out of which 26591 tests have been carried out yesterday. 

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has added 20 new areas in the Micro Containment Zone, while removing 17 areas. Door to door surveillance and mass screening will be launched in the new areas from today.
