Gujarat records 624 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours

In Gujarat, the total cases of Covid-19 have reached 31,397 with 624 new cases reported during the last 24 hours. 19 patients have lost their lives taking the total death due to Covid-19 in the state to 1,809.

O the second consecutive day, Gujarat has reported more than 600 new cases. Ahmedabad recorded 170 new cases, while 141 cases reported from Surat. 44 cases reported from Vadodara while 36 cases reported from Valsad.

Moreover, 391 patients have been recovered during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of



patients discharged from the hospitals to 22808. According to official sources, out of 6780 active cases in the state, conditions of 71 patients are critical and they are on ventilator.  More than 3 lakh 63 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date.

Meanwhile, following the increase of new cases from Surat, the authorities have started health screening of diamond workers in Katargam area. More than 17 thousand diamond workers have been covered by 21 health teams.
