New Delhi: In a significant achievement, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 61 crore mark. Nearly 68 lakh vaccine doses were administered yesterday.

Out of this, over 46 lakh people were vaccinated for the first dose while nearly 21 lakh people received their second dose. Taking to twitter, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, India has



achieved an unprecedented milestone as 50 per cent of the eligible population is inoculated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Till now, over 23 crore individuals in the age group of 18-44 years have received their first dose and over 2 crore individuals their second dose since the start of phase-3 of the vaccination drive.
