India has administered more than 17 crore 70 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the country so far. These include over 95 lakh 98 thousand Healthcare Workers who have taken the 1st dose and more than 65 lakh Health care workers who have taken the 2nd dose, over one crore 42 lakh Frontline Workers have taken the 1st dose and more than 80 lakh front line workers have taken the 2nd dose. 

The Union Health Ministry said that more than 17 lakh 72 thousand beneficiaries were inoculated with COVID-19 vaccine doses till 8 PM yesterday. Out of these more than nine



lakh 38 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated for the 1st dose and more than eight lakh 33 thousand beneficiaries received the 2nd dose of the vaccine. 

The Ministry said, more than four lakh 17 thousand beneficiaries of the age group of 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine yesterday and cumulatively over 34 lakh 66 thousand across 30 States and Union Territories. The Liberalised and Accelerated Phase-3 Strategy of COVID-19 vaccination has come into force from the 1st of this month.
