New Delhi: India has administered over 55 crore 14 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses so far.
Union Health Ministry said that more than 42 crore 84 lakh vaccine doses were administered as first dose and over 12 crore vaccine doses given as second doses so far.
The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of June this year.
The Ministry said, more than 55 lakh vaccine doses have been administered yesterday.
Over 31 lakh vaccine doses were administered as first dose and more than five lakh vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group 18 to 44 years
yesterday.
Cumulatively, over 20 crore persons in the age group 18 to 44 years across 37 States and Union Territories have received their first dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive.
Five States namely Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than one crore cumulative doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in the age group 18 to 44 years.
The Ministry said, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have vaccinated more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the same age group for the first dose of COVID vaccine.
