India's COVID-19 tally count crossed 4.5 lakh-mark with 15,968 fresh cases in last 24 hrs

With India reporting 465 deaths and 1,59,68 fresh cases in the last 24 hrs, the total number of COVID-19 infections on Wednesday crossed the 4.5 lakh-mark to reach 4,56,183 including 14,476 casualties.

As many as 1,83,022 are active cases and 2,58,685 people have been treated and discharged. 

Even as there



has been a consistent surge in the number of coronavirus cases, the number of recoveries continues to be higher than active cases by a margin of 75,662 today.

India conducted over 2 lakh COVID-19 tests, the highest in a single day. In the past 24 hours, about 2,15,195 samples were tested in the country with 73,52,911 samples tested till date.
