A record single-day spike of 15,915 new COVID-19 cases took India’s infection tally past the 413,092 on Sunday, while the death toll rose to 13,294 in the last 24 hurs, according to Union Health Ministry data.

“Thus, around 55.48 per cent of the patients have recovered so far,” an official said. The total number of confirmed cases includes foreigners.
Chennai has been put under total lockdown till June 30, along with three other districts, to curb the spread of the virus. Maharashtra and Delhi recorded the biggest jump in Covid-19 cases on Friday.
