Iraq has tightened the restriction measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, warning of re-imposing full curfew as many citizens failed to abide by the measures. The office of caretaker Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said that the Higher Committee for Health and National Safety, headed by
Mahdi, decided to add one hour to the earlier curfew.
Earlier in the day, Ministry of Health said 81 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 1,928, of whom 90 have died.
