In Jharkhand, the total number of COVID19 positive cases has mounted to 4,818 after 242 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Six persons succumbed to the infection during last 24 hours, taking the death toll in the state to 44. Meanwhile, 51 people have recovered, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 2,536 so far.
The recovery rate currently stands at 52.63 percent. Amid the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state, Chief Minister Hemant Soren chaired a review meeting with senior officials to check the
spread.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has decided to extend the COVID19 testing facility at the block level to increase the testing capacity in the state, after the recent surge in the number of COVID19 cases detected in the state. Mr Soren also informed that setting up of a new control room to provide telephonic assistance to people is on the cards for providing information about necessary details on hospitals, availability of beds, requisite nursing care and precautions to be taken by asymptomatic patients staying in home isolation.
