In Jharkhand, positive cases detected continue to rise after an addition of 18 new Corona cases reported in the state late night yesterday taking the total count to 308.
With no cases being reported from Bokaro district for over one and a half month, five fresh new cases were detected yesterday from the district. Four CISF personnel who had a travel history from New Delhi have been reported positive yesterday.
At the same time, the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the state is progressing at a rapid pace. All fifteen patients detected from Palamu district have been cured and discharged from
hospital, as the district shifts back to Orange zone. 136 patients have so far been cured and discharged from hospitals in the state.
However, the state government is focusing on increasing testing capacity. Most of the affected districts with maximum inflow of stranded migrants and labourers have been provided with TrueNat Beta testing kits for fast and easy detection of COVID19 samples. Health Minister Banna Gupta has set a target to conduct 2000 tests per day for early detection of COVID19 cases. A total of 42000 samples have been tested so far in the state.
