Karnataka after an agreement has started allowing patients from Kerala on submission of a certificate that the patient needing treatment is not COVID-19 positive. The Dakshin Kannada District Administration has issued a guideline that only patients who are critical and could not be treated in Kerala be allowed in Karnataka.
A team of doctors is stationed in Talapadi bordering Kasargodu in Kerala to check the patients before allowing them into the state. For a concerted and
cohesive coordination between police, health workers and urban local body workers, the District Administration has started a Command and Control Centre in Mangaluru to contain the pandemic.
A helpline and whatsapp number is also introduced for the public to seek any guidance and assistance. The Command and Control Centre set up in the District Deputy Commissioner’s office also extends Tele-medicine and Tele-counselling services.
