Karnataka reports 23,558 new cases of Covid-19 in past 24 hours

Karnataka reported 23,558 new cases of COVID-19 during the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases to 1,76,188. 

 

116 people lost their lives due to the infection yesterday. 

 

With 13,640 cases, Bengaluru Urban continues to record highest positive cases in the state.

 

70 people succumbed to death in Bengaluru Urban yesterday.

 

Around 6,412 persons were recovered from



the infection and discharged from hospitals in the state during last twenty four hours.

 

The positivity rate stands at 15.47 % and fatality rate has raised to 0.49%. 

 

Meanwhile, the Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has said that, request has been made to central government to supply 1500 tonnes of additional oxygen to state as the state is witnessing raise in covid cases.
