Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala confirms nine more cases of Omicron on Wednesday. State Health Minister Veena George informed that the new variant has been confirmed in six foreigners who had come to Ernakulam and three people in Thiruvananthapuram. With this, the total tally of such cases in the state has risen to 24.
Meanwhile, Kerala confirmed
3,205 new COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday. The test positivity rate is 5.68 percent at present. 36 deaths were also confirmed due to COVID yesterday, taking the total death toll to 45,538. Bringing respite, 3,012 recoveries were also reported yesterday. At present, 27,842 is the active caseload in the state.
