Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala confirmed two more cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, taking the tally of such cases to seven in the state. State Health department informed that the two newly confirmed Omicron-infected are a couple who returned from the UAE and that all those who came in direct contact with them were quarantined.
Presently the
condition of the all infected persons are stable. With more Omicron cases being detected, all districts have been asked to ready isolation wards and stock enough oxygen supply.
Meanwhile, Kerala reported 3471 new Covid-19 cases last day. 22 deaths were also recorded taking total fatalities to 44,189.
