Kerala reported 6,250 new positive cases on Saturday and 25 COVID-19 deaths, taking the caseload in the state to 5,93,957 and the death toll to 2,196.
State Health Minister K K Shailaja said the state had tested 63,983 samples in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate is 9.77 per cent.
The state has tested61,78,012 till
now.
"On Saturday, 5,275 people were cured taking the total cured in the state to 5,26,797," the minister said in a release.
Out of those infected today, 92 reached the state from outside, while 5,474 contracted the disease through their contacts.
The source of infection of 628 people are yet to be traced," the release said.
