Kerala records 10,402 new Covid-19 cases

Kochi: Kerala confirms 10,402 new Covid positive cases on Sunday. 25,586 covid recoveries were also reported on Sunday. The Test positivity rate is at 16.41%. 66 deaths were also confirmed, taking the aggregate death toll to 19,494. 1,63,212 is the present active covid Caseload in the state.

As the covid cases continue to surge, the Government may take measures,to tighten the restrictions, after the covid review meeting



scheduled to be held today.

It is after the Eid and Onam celebrations the Test Positivity Rate has peaked. Malappuram, Kozhikode, Thrissur and Ernakulam districts reports maximum number of cases. Malappuram district has the most of Covid patients undergoing treatment. The review meeting will evaluate the number of hospital beds and treatment facilities in the state.
