Thiruvananthapuram: In Kerala, fresh Covid-19 cases crossed the two thousand -mark for the second consecutive day yesterday. The State reported two thousand 193 new cases as the Test Positivity Rate remained more or less 11.5 percent Seventeen Covid-19 deaths were recorded in the last 24
hours.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Veena George convened a meeting of districts to assess the pandemic situation. It is pointed out that even when Covid cases are on the rise, hospitalisations are negligible. According to official sources, Omicron variant is in circulation in the State.
