Kerala records 2,605 new Covid-19 cases

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala witnessed a considerable dip in covid 19 infection figures as it confirmed 2,605 positive cases yesterday. The test positivity rate has also reduced to 4.65 percent.  31 deaths were also confirmed due to COVID yesterday, taking the death toll to 46,203 in the state. Bringing respite, 3,281 recoveries were also reported yesterday.



At present, 25,586 is the active caseload in the state.

Meanwhile, State Health Minister Veena George has urged the people to celebrate Christmas and New Year with extreme caution, abiding to strict Covid protocol and guidelines in the wake of rising Omicron cases in the state.
