Kerala records 9,931 new Covid-19 cases

Kochi: Kerala witnessed a slight dip in covid numbers as it confirms 9,931 new covid positive cases on Monday. The test positivity rate is 11.08 percent at present. 58 deaths were also confirmed due to Covid today taking the total death toll to 15,408.  Bringing respite, 13,206 people recovered from the covid infection. At present, over 1 lakh 21708 people are undergoing covid treatment in the state.

Meanwhile, the three-day lockdown



relaxations granted in the state in observance of Bakrid are continuing as such. Shops in A, B and C category areas where the TPR is less than 15 percent are allowed to open and function until 8 p.m.  

Meanwhile, the State Police Chief has directed the district police chiefs to ensure that the Covid standards are strictly adhered to even though relaxations upon lockdown are still in place.
