Kerala reports 12,161 new Covid positive cases

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala witnessed a slight  dip in Covid figures as it confirmed 12,161 new covid positive cases yesterday.  A total of  90,394 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. 155 deaths were also confirmed due to Covid yesterday, taking the death toll to  24,965. Bringing respite, 17,862 recoveries were also reported.  At present,



1,43,500  is the active covid caseload in the state.

Meanwhile the state's Department of Education has begun comprehensive preparations for the reopening of schools in the State. As part of this, a special meeting of teacher-student, youth, labour organizations  will be convened in the coming days.
