Kerala reports 4 more cases of Omicron variant

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported four more cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 yesterday. With this, the overall tally of omicron cases in the state has  increased to 15.

Meanwhile, Kerala  confirmed 2,230 new COVID-19 positive cases yesterday. 14 deaths were also confirmed due to COVID yesterday, taking the total death toll to 44,922. Bringing



respite, 3,722  recoveries were also reported yesterday. At present, 28,724 is the active caseload in the state.

Nearly 97.3 per cent of the population eligible for vaccination in the state has been vaccinated with one dose of covid vaccine and 74.5 percent has been given two doses of the vaccine respectively.
