Kerala reported more recoveries than positive cases yesterday, as 7,025 new cases of COVID were confirmed, 8,511 people recovered from the infection yesterday in the State.
28 recent deaths were also confirmed due to COVID yesterday, taking the death toll in the State to 1,512. The total active COVID cases in Kerala is 89,675.
Meanwhile, as part of the unlock process, the
beaches, parks and museums in the State reopened today for public use under strict COVID protocol, after months-long closure due to pandemic.
The tourism centres in the State were opened up in two phases. The hill stations, adventure resorts and backwater tourism centres were reopened on October 12, strictly adhering to the COVID protocol.
