Ladakh reports 112 new Coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Ladakh reported the highest spike in corona virus infection during the past 24 hours. As many as 112 positive cases were reported which is the highest in daily infection ever since Ladakh reported first case in March last year.

 

With the increase in arrival of labourers, guests and local residents who migrate to other parts of the country to avoid harsh winter months in Ladakh, the graph of confirmed covid positive cases has been



climbing upward for the past fortnight. However, the report of 112 cases has broken all the record of one year of pandemic. With this,  the total active case in Ladakh is now 222.

 

Five cases were reported in Kargil and rest of the 217 cases were confirmed in Leh. Meanwhile, the administration has enhanced the surveillance on compliance of COVID- 19 appropriate behaviours and testing of COVID-19 infection.
