Maharashtra breaks all records with 43,183 new COVID-19 cases, 249 fatalities

The Covid-19 wave does not seem to be letting up in Maharashtra. On Thursday, Maharashtra reported 43,183 new Covid-19 cases, the highest-ever daily spike recorded in the state since the start of the pandemic.

With this, the total



number of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra has risen to 28,56,163.

The state also recorded 249 deaths related to Covid-19 taking the death toll in Maharashtra to 54,898. The case fatality rate in the state is 1.92 per cent at present.
