Breaking its own record of highest-ever single-day spike for the second straight day, Maharashtra on Sunday reported 30,535 new cases of coronavirus.
The fresh jump of over 30,000 cases is Maharashtra's highest single-day tally since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 30,535 new cases on
Sunday have taken Maharashtra's total caseload to 24,79,682.
While the state saw a record spike in cases, it also registered 11,314 recoveries on Sunday after which its recovery rate has reached 89.32 per cent.
As on Sunday, 22,14,867 Covid-19 patients have been discharged after full recovery in the state.
