Maharashtra detects 3,580 new cases of COVID-19

Maharashtra today reported 3,580 new cases of COVID-19, taking its tally to 19,09,951.

According to the State’s public health department, 3,171 patients were discharged today, taking the total number of recoveries to 18,04,871. With 89 fatalities, the death toll has increased to 49,058. The State has an active caseload of



54,891.
 
Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at 94.5 per cent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.57 per cent. Maharashtra has conducted 1.23 crore tests so far and the positivity rate stands at 15.48 per cent.
 
With 643 new cases, Mumbai’s Coronavirus tally has increased to 2,89,204. The city reported 12 fatalities and 711 recoveries today.
