Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 982 fresh coronavirus-positive cases and 27 fatalities in the last 24 hours. According to the state health department, a total of 1,293 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, which raise the number of recoveries in Maharashtra to 64,61,956.
As of now there are 13,311 active cases in the state.
The case recovery rate in Maharashtra now stands at 97.62 per cent. The state health
department said that with 96,866 new tests, the number of samples examined so far in the state went up to 6,33,99,355. While, it mentioned that on Tuesday, 18 districts and five municipal corporations in Maharashtra did not report any new COVID-19 cases.
As per the health department data, Mumbai districts reported the highest 206 new infections in the state, followed by the Ahmednagar district with 46 cases.
