Maharashtra records 1,094 new Covid-19 cases

Mumbai: Maharashtra’s tally of infections yesterday increased by 1,094 to reach 66,20,423. According to the state’s public health department, the state recorded 1,976 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered patients to  64,63,932. With 17 people succumbing to the infection in the past 24 hours, the death toll has reached 1,40,447. The number of active cases



in Maharashtra stands at 12,410. Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at  97.64 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.12 percent.

Mumbai reported 339 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in Mumbai to 7,59,286. The city reported 363 recoveries and three deaths yesterday.
