Maharashtra on Friday reported 311 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases to 78,82,169. According to the State’s Public Health Department, 270 patients recovered from the infection during the day while no death was reported due to COVID-19. Accordingly, the total number of recoveries stand at 77,32,552 while the death toll remains static at 1,47,856. The number of active cases in Maharashtra stands at 1,761.
Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at 98.10
per cent while case fatality rate stands at 1.87 per cent.
Continuing the trend of maximum number of new cases, Mumbai reported 213 cases. The city’s caseload has increased to 10,61,554, with 1,144 of them being currently active.
While close to ten districts have no active cases of COVID-19, Pune continues to follow Mumbai with an active caseload of 310 cases while Thane district has 173 active patients.
