Mumbai: With 3,608 new cases of COVID-19, Maharashtra’s tally of infections has reached 65,31,237. According to the state’s public health department, the state recorded 4,285 recoveries and 48 fatalities.
Accordingly, the number recovered has reached 63,49,029 while the death toll stands at 1,38,664. The number of active cases in Maharashtra has come down to 39,984.
Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at 97.21 percent while
the case fatality rate stands at 2.12 percent. Mumbai reported 486 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in Mumbai to 7,39,361.
The city reported 359 recoveries and four deaths yesterday. Recording a little less than 800 new cases, Ahmednagar has become a cause of concern. With over eleven thousand active cases Pune continues to top the list, followed by Thane, Ahmednagar and Mumbai.
