Mumbai: Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 4,174 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total count to 64,97,872. According to the state’s public health department, the number of recoveries increased by 4,155, leading to total recoveries of 63,08,491. On the other hand, the death toll increased by 65 to reach 1,37,962. The number of active cases in Maharashtra stands at 47,880.
The state’s recovery rate stands
at 97.09 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.12 percent. The state has conducted 5.53 crore tests so far and the positivity rate is 11.74 percent.
In a sharp rise ahead of the Ganesh Utsav, Mumbai reported 532 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in Mumbai to 7,47,605. The city reported 349 recoveries and four deaths yesterday.
