Maharashtra records 6,753 new Covid-19 cases

Mumbai: Maharashtra on Friday reported 6,753 new cases of coronavirus infections taking the total caseload to 62,51,810. According to the state’s public health department, 5,979 patients were discharged yesterday, taking the number of recovered patients to 60,22,485. The death toll increased by 167 to reach 1,31,205. The number of active cases in Maharashtra stands at 94,769. Maharashtra’s recovery



rate stands at 96.33 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.09 percent.

Mumbai reported 373 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in Mumbai to 7,33,344. The city reported 482 recoveries and eight deaths yesterday. Kolhapur, Pune, Sangli, Satara and Ahmednagar continue to report the highest number of daily new cases.
