Mumbai: The Covid-19 daily deaths dropped to 190 and the infections climbed up marginally to 7,242, even as 11,124 patients were discharged after full recovery from various hospitals in the State.
A day after the pandemic claimed 286 lives and left 6,857 people infected, daily deaths came down to 190, while the infections rose to 7,242. With 190 deaths reported on Thursday, the total number of deaths increased from 1,32,145 to 1,32,335, while the infections -- with 7,242 new cases – climbed from 62,82,914 to 62,90,156.
As 11,124 were discharged from the hospitals across the state after full recovery, the total number of people discharged from the hospitals since the second week of March last year increased from 60,64, 856 to 60,75,888.
The recovery rate in the
state rose from 96.53 per cent to 96.59 per cent.
The total “active cases” in the state dropped from 82,545 to 72,562. The fatality rate in the state stood static at 2.1 per cent Pune with 16,177 active cases emerged as the first in the state in terms of maximum number of “active cases” in the state, while Sangli with 7867 stood second, followed by Satara (7847), Kolhapur (6965), Thane (5904) Mumbai (5492) Kolhapur (10,701) and Solapur (4543).
Of the 4,75,59,938 samples sent to various laboratories across the State so far, 62,90,156 have tested positive (13.23 per cent) for Covid-19 until Thursday..
Currently, 4,87,704 people are in home quarantine while 3,245 people are in institutional quarantine.
