Mumbai: The Covid-19 cases dropped to 9,677 and the deaths came down to 511 on Friday, even as 10,138 patients were discharged after full recovery from various hospitals across the State.
A day after it logged 9,844 cases and 556 deaths, Maharashtra witnessed a marginal drop in the new cases and deaths.
Of the 511 deaths reported, 156 were current fatalities, while the remaining 355 were “old and unaccounted deaths” which have been added to the state total Covid-19 toll as part of the ongoing
reconciliation process.
With 511 deaths, the Covid-19 toll in the state jumped from 1,19,859 to 1,20,370. Similarly, with 9,677 fresh infections, the total infections in the state climbed from 60,0,74,31 to 60,17,035.
As 10,138 patients were discharged from the hospitals across the State after full recovery, the total number of people discharged from the hospitals since the second week of March last year increased from 57,62,661 to 57,72,799.
