Maharashtra has reported a staggering 1,233 COVID-19 cases - a new single-day high - taking the tally to 16,758, while 34 more patients died - 25 of them in Mumbai - raising the toll to 651.
The state, the worst-hit by the viral disease in the country, also recorded death of 34 more patients, taking the toll to 651.
As many as 11,692 health squads have so far completed surveillance of 51.14 lakh population.
The state has so far discharged 3,094 patients after recovery. Efforts are on to deal with the challenges occured in the state due to coronavirus.
The co-operative societies in Maharashtra have so far donated financial assistance of Rs. 25 crore for the Chief Minister's Fund to fight against corona virus.
Responding to the appeal made by Government, about 3,790 co-operative
societies in the state have provided this fund.
On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has demanded to increase the onions procurement limit up to 50,000 metric tonnes from 40,000 metric tonnes.
He has written a letter to Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Ram Vilas Paswan in this regard and requested to increase this limit so that onion growers should not be face any trouble.
Meantime, Solapur Division of Railways has created a Medical Assistant Ro- Bot to help medical professionals engaged in fighting the corona virus.
This robot can deliver all the things needed by the patients and the doctors.
Through this robot, patients can also communicate with each other through the video communication system.
