Maharashtra reports 5,369 new cases of Coronavirus infection

Maharashtra has reported 5,369 new cases of Coronavirus infection, taking the total number of cases in the State to 16,83,775. According to the State’s public health department, 113 people succumbed to the infection taking the death toll to 44,024; while the recoveries rose by 3,726 to touch 15,14,079. 

The recovery rate in the State is 89.92 per cent while the Case



Fatality rate is 2.61 per cent. The number of active cases in the State stands at 1,25,101.

 

Mumbai reported 908 new cases, taking the total caseload to 2,58,405. The death toll increased by 25 to 10,318. A total of 2,29,025 patients have recovered so far in the city. The number of active cases in the city stood at 18,522.
