Mumbai: Maharashtra on Friday reported 695 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections to 66,42,372. According to the state’s public health department, 631 people have recovered from the infection in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 64,90,936. Mumbai reported 194 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in Mumbai to 7,64,848. The city reported 183 recoveries and one death yesterday. The number of active cases stands at 1,773.
With the state reporting seven new cases of Omicron yesterday, the administration has urged citizens not to lower guard, vaccinate and wear masks.
