Maharashtra reports 699 new Covid-19 cases

Mumbai: Maharashtra yesterday recorded 699 new cases of covid-19 taking the cumulative total to 66,39,995. According to the state public health department, there were no new cases of Omicron variant reported in the state during the day. As of yesterday, the state has a total of 10 cases of this Variant.

Meanwhile, 19 people succumbed to covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours while



1087 patients were discharged from various hospitals post recovery. The Recovery rate in the state is 97.72 per cent whereas the Case fatality rate is 2.12 per cent. Currently, there are 6,445 active cases in the state.

Mumbai, on the other hand, reported 189 new covid-19 cases and 1 death during the day. The city presently has 1668 active cases.
