Maharashtra reports highest single-day spike of 63,729 Covid-19 cases

Maharashtra reported a spike of 63,729 fresh Covid cases and 45,335 patients were discharged post-recovery in the lat 24 hours.

According to the state’s public health department 398 fatalities were also reported in the last 24 hours. Of the 398 deaths reported 234 occurred in the last 48 hours and 110 in the last week. Rest 54 deaths are from the



period before last week.

More than 6 lakh 38 thousand patients are under treatment in state. Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at  81.12 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 1.61 percent. Maharashtra has conducted 2.33 crore coronavirus tests so far and the positivity rate stands at 15.89 percent.
