Aizawl: Mizoram on Saturday reported 16 new COVID-19 cases, taking the state's tally to 4,110, an official statement said.
Ten of the new cases were reported from the Aizawl district, two each from Lunglei and Champhai districts, and one case each was reported from Hnahthial and Lawngtlai districts, as per the statement.
Among the newly-infected people is a personnel of the Assam Rifles.
Six of the new
patients have recent travel histories.
Two of the patients have developed some symptoms, while the rest are asymptomatic.
There are 160 active cases in the state at present and 3,943 people have recovered.
Mizoram has also reported seven COVID-19 fatalities in all.
The state has so far tested 1,70,231 samples for COVID-19.
