The Odisha government's Health Department on Sunday reported 83 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus. With this development, the state's tally of confirmed cases has risen to 377. In addition, the state also recorded three coronavirus-related deaths between Saturday night and Sunday evening.

Officials claimed that almost all of the 83 fresh cases reported in the state on Sunday were detected in quarantine centres. A majority

In its first update on Sunday morning, Odisha's Health Department reported 58 new cases followed by 10 new cases in the afternoon update and 15 new cases during the evening update.

With maiden cases from Angul and Boudh, the coronavirus infection has spread its tentacles to 21 districts across Odisha.
