India has administered more than 20 crore 25 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the country so far. These include over 98 lakh Health Care Workers who have taken the 1st dose and more than 67 lakh Health Care Workers who have taken the 2nd dose, over one crore 52 lakh Frontline Workers have taken the 1st dose and more than 84 lakh Frontline Workers have taken the 2nd dose.
 
Union Health Ministry said, more than five crore 73 lakh people above 60 years have taken the 1st dose and more than one crore 84 lakh citizens have taken the 2nd dose. India had launched the world’s largest Vaccination drive on 16th January this year.  A total of over 17 lakh 19 thousand vaccine doses were administered yesterday. Of them, more



than 15 lakh beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and one lakh 42 thousand beneficiaries received 2nd dose of vaccine.
 
In the age group of 18 to 44 years, more than eight lakh 31 thousand beneficiaries received their first dose of COVID vaccine yesterday. With this, now the figure has crossed one crore 38 lakh mark across 37 States and Union Territories.
 
The administering of vaccine for this age group is gaining momentum and more than 10 lakh beneficiaries have been given doses of COVID vaccine in Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh so far. The third phase of vaccination for the age group of 18 to 44 years was started from 1st of this month.
