Mumbai records 506 fresh Covid-19 cases

Mumbai yesterday recorded 506 new Covid 19 cases which is the highest one-day tally since February.  The city had recorded more than 530 cases on February 6 after which there has been decline.

Total number of active cases in the city now stands at 2526. Mumbai’s civic body said the recovery rate now stands at 98 percent.

The cumulative



death toll due to the infection stands at 19566 with no casualty reported yesterday.  

However, it may be noted that the city witnessed a significant rise in fresh cases in May. According to the data available the city logged in nearly 6000 cases in May as compared to around 1800 cases in April.
