Nagaland yesterday reported 207 positive cases of COVID-19. This is the single highest day spike reported this year in the state.
The state also reported one COVID death from Dimapur. Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet said, 177 cases were reported from Dimapur, 13 from Kohima, 9 from Tuensang, 3 each from Longleng and Mokokchung and 1 each from Mon and Peren.
Of the new cases reported, 112 were from among the returnees/ travellers, 90 were traced contacts, 4
from the Armed forces/ Security personnel and 1 from frontline worker.
In addition, 16 patients have recovered from the infection which included 8 in Kohima, 7 from Dimapur and 1 from Wokha.
With this, the total recovered cases has reached to 12,151.
Presently, the state has now a total of 13,445 cases, and 874 are active cases. So far, the state has registered 89 COVID-19 deaths.
