New COVID-19 case detected in Manipur after 42 days

After 42 days, Manipur on Thursday has reported a fresh positive case for COVID-19.

The 31-year-old person hailing from Imphal East district had returned from Mumbai via Jiribam on Wednesday.

The man had returned from Mumbai where his father was treated for cancer. He returned to



Manipur in a hired vehicle and the administration kept him in a quarantine centre.

Dr Khiorom Sasheekumar Managing, Additional Director and Spokesperson of Manipur Health department said that the 31-year-old person from the Imphal East district who returned from Mumbai with a patient was tested positive for COVID-19.
