Odisha's covid-19 active caseload comes down to about 5,000

Odisha's covid-19 active caseload has come down to about 5,000. While the total number of affected people has reached three lakh 20 thousand so far in the state, out of them, about three lakh thirteen thousand have recovered. 

 

"The covid-19 positivity rate in Odisha now stands at 5.35 per cent, with the state having conducted about a whooping 6 million tests thus



far. 

Added to this is the near balancing-out of new covid-19 cases by almost an equal or more recovered cases on a daily basis. Meanwhile, the state government today further reduced the rate of RT-PCR test in private labs across the state down to 400 rupees inclusive of GST.  Private labs in the state are mandated to conduct RT-PCR test in accordance with the ICMR guidelines.
